Corporate Services | S/N | Volunteer Opportunity | Job Description | | 1. | Administration & Coordination Services | You will provide general administrative support and help with clerical duties before and during the games. Candidates with administrative experience are preferred. | | 2. | Government Relations | You will provide client services to domestic dignitaries. Duties include administrative, hospitality and coordination services. Good communication skills and fluency in English is a must. Knowledge of other foreign language is a plus. | | 3. | IOC Relations | You will provide customer services, including administration and co ordination services to IOC family and foreign delegates. Protocol experience and proficiency in English and French is preferred. | | 4. | International Relations | You will provide customer services including administration and coordination services to International Olympic Committee (IOC) partners and sponsors. Proficiency in English and other foreign languages is preferred. | | 5. | Interpretation & Translation Services | You will provide simple interpretation and translation services during the games at unofficial meetings and gatherings, including documents translation. Ability to speak and write English and French is a must. Candidates fluent in Arabic, Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean & Spanish are welcome. | | 6. | NOC Relations | You will provide customer services, including administration and co ordination to foreign NOCs. You must be fluent in English and one other foreign language such as French, Spanish, Arabic, German, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. | | 7. | Risk Management and Assurance Services | You will ensure competition and non-competition venues are safe. Experience in risk management, insurance claims or occupational health and safety is preferred. |

HR and Workforce | 1. | Volunteer Management Services | Working from the various venues, you will support the volunteer management team in monitoring and supporting the volunteer workforce during games. Good communication skills coupled with experience in managing volunteers is a plus. | | 2. | Workforce Support Services | You will provide administrative services to paid and contract workforce before and after the games. Experience in HR and workforce management is preferred. |

Corporate Communications and Public Relations | 1. | Community & Public Relations | You will help with the organization of public events to create awareness of YOG. You are expected to work in the field under all weather conditions. Experience in organizing public and community events is a plus. Must enjoy working with people and in tight schedules and under pressure. | | 2. | Editorial Services & Online Communications | You will create, produce and manage content and features for print and electronic publications. You must have experience in content development. We are looking for photographers, videographers, graphics designers, animation producers who are independent and creative and able to work before and during the games. | | 3. | Media Relations | You will help coordinate the scheduling of media requests, monitor media stories and assist in providing services to the media. Experience in media relations and knowledge of local, national and international media exposure are preferred. | | 4. | Press Operations | You will provide services to accredited press at the main press centre and all competition venues. Experience in media industry, including journalism and photography, and knowledge of Olympic sports is preferred. |

Marketing | 1. | Commercial Rights Management | You will protect Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC), IOC, and the Olympic Games marketing partners against misuse and infringement of Olympic games’ trademarks, emblem and logo distribution and sale of counterfeit products, ambush marketing activities, propaganda, and commercial advertising. We are looking for matured people with diplomacy and firmness in dealing with situations, and ability to stand or walk for prolong periods of time. Experience in law enforcement and marketing communications is preferred. | | 2. | Sponsorship & Servicing | You will assist in maintaining sponsor obligations, and delivering brand and marketing programmes. Experience in marketing and branding is preferred. | | 3. | Ticketing Services | You will provide customer service and ticketing assistance at venues. A pleasant personality is all you require. | | 4. | Venue Branding Service | You will assist in displaying banners and advertisement of Olympic marketing partners at venues. Working hand in hand with venue logistics and marketing team, you will ensure the brand visibility is maintained at all times. Must be able to work with people and on tight time lines. |

Sport and Venue Operations | 1. | Sport Support Services | You will assist in the field of play specific to sport and venue. Recorders, runners, athlete assistance, technical and competition officials’ assistance are some of the roles you are likely to play. Knowledge of sport is important for this position. | | 2. | Venue Support Services | You will be assisting the venue managers in coordinating the support necessary to conduct
specific sport. We are looking for people with strong inter personal skills and ability to see things in a larger perspective. |

Operations and Games Services | 1. | Accreditation | You will assist at venue accreditation centres or office in the managing accreditation issues and facilitate access control policies. | | 2. | Anti-Doping | You will be verbally notifying athletes of their selection for doping control test and escort them from the field of play to doping control station. Matured people with strong interpersonal skills and communication skills are preferred. | | 3. | Accommodation | You will assist athletes, officials, IOC family members, and foreign delegates at hospitality desks located at hotels and sport and CEP venues. Knowledge of hospitality management or experience in travel industry is preferred. | | 4. | Ceremonies | You’ll help prepare for ceremonies and presentations, including performer support, costumes, props, etc. Experience in event support services is preferred. | | 5. | Communications | Working within operations centres at venues, you will be assisting in incident reporting to main ops centre. Candidates must be knowledgeable in communications devices and radio transmissions. | | 6. | Environment | You will be working in various venues to ensure the “green policy” is in effect. Working hand in hand with the venue logistics team, you must have good communication skills and ability to stand and walk for prolong period. | | 7. | Event Services | You will assist with crowd control, ticket taking, ushering and access monitoring. We are looking for hard working team players who can work in all weather conditions. | | 8. | Hospitality Services | You will be serving athletes, officials, public, media, etc at the venue information booth. We require people with good communication skills, pleasant personality. Ability to converse in any foreign language is a bonus. | | 9. | Medal Ceremonies | You will be assisting in the respective sport’s medal and victory ceremonies at the various venues. We are looking for individuals with pleasant personality and ability to work under pressure. | | 10. | Medical Services | You will be augmenting the medical team at venues. Knowledge of basic first aid is a must. | | 11. | Security Services | You will assist in security of venue entry and exit points as marshals. Experience in law enforcement or security services with knowledge of operating security equipment is preferred. | | 12. | Torch Relay | You will provide assistance in the conduct of torch relay. Road marshals, safety, spectator management are some of the areas you will be involved in. Experience in event management and security are preferred. |

Culture and Education Programmes | 1. | New Media | You will help to create new media material for the youth. We are looking for creative people with knowledge of IT and content development. | | 2. | Community Sports Programme | You will assist in planning and delivering of events. We require young people with passion and drive. | | 3. | Arts and Culture | You will assist in the organization of arts and culture programmes. You must have knowledge of the arts scene in Singapore. | | 4. | Athlete Programme | You will assist in the events programming for athletes at the village. Experience in events planning is preferred. |

Youth Olympic Village | 1. | Athlete Support Services | Working from reception at village, you will assist the athletes on information on events and programmes. Students from hospitality industry are preferred. Ability to speak foreign languages is a plus. | | 2. | Athlete Logistics and Transport Services | Working from village, you will assist athletes in all aspects of logistics and transportation coordination. You will work closely with transportation services. Matured individuals with logistics and transportation experience are preferred. | | 3. | Athlete Programme Services | You will work closely with Culture and Education Programme (CEP) to coordinate programmes for athletes. Youths with event management experience is preferred. |

IT and Technology | 1. | IT and Technology | Working from the various venues, you will assist the technology team in set-up and logistics aspects. Some knowledge of IT will be added bonus. |

Logistics and Finance | 1. | Finance Services | You will help with general financial services such as processing of payment, documentation, filing, etc. We are looking for individuals with financial and accounting background. | | 2. | Food and Beverage Services | Working from venues and village, you will provide food and beverage services to athletes, officials, workforce, and guests. Students from hospitality industry are preferred. | | 3. | Transportation | You will help with coordination and scheduling of transportation for athletes, officials, workforce, delegates, and guests. We are looking for matured individuals with valid class 3 drivers’ license. | | 4. | Venue Support Services | Deployed at the various venues, you will assist the logistics team in the set up and running of the logistics function. You must be prepared to work under all weather conditions. We are looking for matured individuals with no medical condition and good physical fitness. |
