Getting to The Float@Marina Bay

This information will assist your journey to the Float@Marina Bay. Do plan your journey in advance as traffic congestion is expected on show days. Members of the public attending this event are advised to use public transport.

The Float @ Marina Bay is accessible by public transport. Trains and buses to all parts of Singapore are available to enable spectators to travel to-and-fro The Float@Marina Bay smoothly and safely on show days.

Advisory

  • Spectators are encouraged to take public transport to the Venue as there will be road closure within the vicinity.
  • Entrances will be opened at 4.00pm
  • Spectators are advised to be seated by 7.00pm
  • This is a rain or shine event

By MRT

Four MRT stations serve the Float@Marina Bay:

Raffles Place MRT Interchange (North South / East West Line) Follow the pedestrian walkway along Battery Road, cross Cavenagh Bridge, pass Queen Elizabeth Pass and cross Esplanade Drive to reach the platform. This will take about 15 minutes.

City Hall MRT Interchange (North South / East West Line) Either walk along Stamford Road and cross Nicoll Highway or via the underground City Link Mall to reach our ticketing points. Signs will guide you along the way. This will take 10 minutes.

Esplanade MRT (Circle Line) Proceed along Beach Road, across War Memorial Park towards the Singapore Recreation Club, take the same route as via City Hall Interchange from there. This will take 15 minutes.

Promenade MRT (Circle Line) Proceed along Temasek Avenue towards the Bayfront Ave and cross over to the helix Bridge. This will take 15 minutes.


Complimentary Travel Validity Period

All Opening Ceremony Ticket Cards come with 4 train rides and unlimited bus rides for Saturday, 14 August 2010 during bus and train business hours.

Using your card for the first time
When using your Prepaid Companion Card for the first time please do the following:

By Bus:
Tap the card (similar to using an ez-link card) and proceed.

By MRT:
Present your Prepaid Companion Card to:
- General Ticketing Machine (machine for purchasing single trip tickets or for topping-up cards) to "Check card"
- Station Control to "Check card"
- If you have used the card on a bus enroute to the MRT station, there is no need to "Check card".

Approach Station Control if you have problems.
