As winner of The International 2001 and 2002 Festival International d’Art Pyrotechnique – Cannes, France, Michael Larkin has designed shows for major private and corporate clients like the HRH Queen Elizabeth 80th Birthday Celebrations, the Wedding of Pavlos, Crown Prince of Greece and tercentenary celebrations for the Duke of Devonshire.

Michael founded Starlight Design Ltd in 1981, a company specialising in event lighting particularly for the party industry. In 1986, he designed and manufactured the first UK computerised firing system to realise the potential of perfect synchronisation between music and fireworks.
