About Singapore Sports School

The Singapore Sports School (SSS) offers a unique environment dedicated to the long term sports development and academic rigour of our student athletes. The curriculum aims to inspire a passion for lifelong learning through a holistic approach to education and training. The school hosts over 400 student athletes in nine core sports or academies: Badminton, Bowling, Football, Golf, Netball, Sailing, Swimming, Table Tennis and Track & Field.

The SSS also provides other sports training for talented students on a case-to case basis. For these students, the school will provide a flexible academic programme and work with the respective National Sports Associations to offer the necessary training.

The school has produced some of Singapore's top youth athletes since its inception in 2004. Among them are two Olympians, three World Champions, two Asian Games Gold Medalists, one Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist, six SEA Games Gold Medalists, one World Youth Champion, three Asian Youth Champions and two National Champions.

The Sports School's wide range of world class sporting facilities and training venues and residential amenities make it well-suited for hosting the Singapore 2010 Friendship Camp. The facilities include:

- Two all-weather Olympic-sized pools (50m x 25m)
- Badminton Hall
- Table Tennis Hall
- Running track and synthetic football field
- Gym
- 2 outdoor netball courts
- 1 indoor multi-sports auditorium
