Road Closure Plans

Singaporeans and visitors will be able to catch the Olympic action that is coming to Singapore next month. To ensure both the participants and public have a good experience during the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games (Singapore 2010), members of the public are encouraged to plan their travel early, use alternative routes and be gracious road users as we welcome the world to our shores.

To facilitate the various Games activities, a comprehensive traffic access plan will be put in place. Selected lanes or roads around Singapore 2010 venues will be closed to allow competitions to take place safely and efficiently. As far as possible, lane closure will be introduced instead of full road closure to minimise inconvenience to the public.

Road closure will be introduced at only four out of more than 20 Singapore 2010 venues. The road closures will take place between 7 to 26 August during affected hours. Rolling road closures will also be implemented along the JYOF routes.
