Blazing the Trail - the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games Official Report is out.

In August 2010, the first-ever Youth Olympic Games was successfully held in Singapore. Envisioned by the IOC President Jacques Rogge, the Youth Olympic Games inspired young people around the world to participate in sport and adopt and live by the Olympic values of Excellence, Friendship, and Respect.

From 14 to 26 August 2010, 3,530 athletes from 205 National Olympic Committees gathered in Singapore to compete in this new sporting event of the highest international standards, and took part in a Culture and Education Programme that examined five themes using seven formats that were delivered across 50 activities.

The report - colourful, photo-rich and visually stunning – provides a complete account of the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games from preparation to the 12 days of non-stop sporting events to post-game reflections. Key facts and figures are provided alongside personal accounts from athletes, volunteers and the organising committee.
