Focus Media will be sponsoring commercial airtime for the broadcast of Singapore 2010 publicity content across its digital Out-of-Home (OOH) networks spanning commercial buildings in Singapore, Housing Development Board malls and SingPost outlets. "As the Games' Official Advertising Space Sponsor, Focus Media will work with our appointed media and creative agencies to develop digital concepts to promote the Youth Olympic Games. Multimedia advertising displays, such as those owned by Focus Media, are important in adding colour and vibrancy to the Games and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Focus Media on its fifth anniversary celebration today," said Mr Goh Kee Nguan, Chief Executive Officer, Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee. To mark the occasion, the signing ceremony took place at Focus Media's anniversary celebrations in the presence of more than 400 leaders from the real-estate and advertising industries. On Focus Media’s involvement in the world’s first-ever Youth Olympic Games (YOG), PJ Wong, Co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Focus Media Singapore/Hong Kong said, "We are very proud and honoured to play an integral role in the inaugural YOG in Singapore. This is yet another great opportunity for Focus Media to support our nation's efforts to host world-class events like the YOG. With our robust digital OOH platform, we aim to play a part in sharing the excitement of the YOG through our network which can be found in every corner of Singapore". Digital billboards and captive TV networks is the principle-driver-of-growth for OOH, the second-fastest-growing advertising medium after the Internet. The Singapore network is available at the elevator lobbies of 250 office buildings and shopping malls predominately in the central business districts, reaching the highly-desired but hardest-to-reach group of business executives and affluent individuals, in a captive environment.
