As the YOG draws closer and athletes are gearing up to compete in the 26 sports come August 2010, we invite the world to come together and support the athletes through watching the Games. To encourage everyone to be a part of this milestone sporting event, the tickets are priced affordably at S$10 (Preliminaries), S$15 (Quarter Finals/ Semi Finals) and S$30 (Finals) .

For the first time in the history of Olympic Games, each ticket purchased is accompanied by a Singapore 2010 DBS Visa Prepaid Companion Card that combines payment and transit functionality.

In furthering the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect through the promotion of cross-cultural interaction, understanding and learning with sporting excellence among participating youths at the Games, new and exciting competition grouping and formats such as mixed gender grouping and/or mixed National Olympic Committee teams will be introduced, while some sports will be played in completely new formats to raise the level of excitement for both athlete and spectator experience.

"We are proud to announce that ticket sales to the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games is now open. We see increasing excitement as we get closer to the Games. We invite people in Singapore and the world to join us in cheering the Young Olympians from the 205 delegations even as we are watching our favourite sports. With new competition formats unique to YOG, affordably-priced tickets and complimentary public transportation, we hope everyone can join us and be a part of the inaugural YOG," said Mr GOH Kee Nguan, Chief Executive Officer, Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee.
