Can't wait for the arrival of the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games in August 2010? You can catch a preview of the sporting action at some of the competition venues over the next two months. From 22 May to 20 June, Singapore will see over 700 athletes from some 30 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) competing in a series of sports competitions across the island. The competitions are also validation exercises for the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC), as we get ready to welcome the first YOG in August. Ten sports will be contested in the competitions, which are held at official Singapore 2010 competition venues: Archery, Athletics, Basketball, Canoe-Kayak, Cycling - BMX and Mountain Bike, Gymnastics, Rowing, Tennis, Volleyball and Weightlifting.
